A mini-digger has been stolen from a building site in Carlisle.
Story Homes is working on the Aspen Grange development, to the north of the city.
Between 5pm on Thursday, January 12 and 9am Friday, January 13, the Takeuchi mini-digger, which is light grey with a red lower section, was taken.
Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen the mini-digger being transported away from the area and would like to hear from anyone with any information.
Dashcam footage or any CCTV, including video doorbells, could be crucial to the investigation, officers said.
A spokesman added: “We would urge anyone who sees anything they think is suspicious activity to report it to the police at the earliest opportunity using the 101 reporting number. If your report requires an urgent response, please use 999.”
