A 78-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the M6.
Police were called at 7.48am to a report of a one vehicle collision near Southwaite Services outside of Carlisle.
The crash involved a grey Honda Forza motorcycle. The rider, a 78-year-old man from Windermere, has been taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for treatment.
Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses and anyone with a dashcam who may have recorded the incident or the moments leading up to it.
