A treat is in store for music fans in the Lake District next month.

Rock on Kendal is presenting an artist showcase at the Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness on March 29, featuring Jake Morley and Amy Jo.

Jake Morley is a singer-songwriter from London, known for distinctive lyrics and implausible guitar playing.

His third studio album Some Things Are Like Other Things was released in October. His 2012 debut album Many Fish to Fry led to a residency at Ronnie Scott’s, headline tours across the UK, Europe and Canada, airplay across BBC radio and live performances on national television.

Th Manual, in 2016, has also attracted millions of streams. Along the way he’s had a shred-off with Punch Brothers, swapped late night songs with Michael Kiwanuka, broken Jack Garratt’s amp, and opened shows for They Might be Giants, Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner and Joe Bonamassa.

Amy Jo

Amy Jo is from Morecambe Bay and plays guitar and keys.
