All four games in the Workington Sunday League were close-fought affairs with two of them finishing all square.

Senhouse Street and Sun Inn shared six goals in Workington after being level 1-1 at the break.

Connor Jarman (2) and Josh Partridge scored for Senhouse Street with Mally Graham, Matty Prior and Ewan Trestianu ensuring the Sun Inn went home with a point.

Also sharing the spoils were Blue Bell and Maryport after their 2-2 draw, which meant the Workington side lost ground on champions Northside.

Greg Quayle and Steven Maxwell were the scorers for Blue Bell while Tom Southwell and Ciaran Laverty netted for the Maryport side.

Northside picked up maximum points but were given one of their sternest tests of the season as they just edged it 2-0 against Dearham as Callum Killick netted both goals.

It means Northside have a two-point lead over Blue Bell but also have two games in hand.

The fourth game saw Flimby Social climb into the top half of the table with a 4-2 home win against the bottom side Sun Inn Athletic.

Scott Underwood was a hat-trick hero while Zach Little scored the fourth Flimby goal. Brad Williamson and Mark Campbell were on target for Athletic.

The fifth scheduled game between Deer Orchard and Rangers was postponed.

There are five League games planned for this Sunday – Blue Bell v Flimby Social; Dearham v Deer Orchard; Northside v Maryport Athletic; Seaton Rangers v Sun Inn; Sun Inn Athletic v Rangers.
