Whitehaven name squad ahead of London Broncos game

Whitehaven have named a squad of 20 for the Challenge Cup tie tomorrow at London Broncos.

Half-back Alex Bishop was named in last week’s squad but did not play against Toulouse, and has flown back to Australia to attend a family wedding.

Jake Bradley comes back into an otherwise unchanged squad as again Whitehaven have not included any of their loan players.

It’s been a hectic spell of travelling for the Whitehaven team – in France last Saturday to play Toulouse and now down to London for the third round Challenge Cup tie with the Broncos.

It won’t end there, either, as Haven face a third successive away trip next Sunday when they travel to York for a Betftred Championship game.

The squad for London is: Sam Freeman, Dave Eccleston, Chris Taylor, Curtis Teare, Karl Dixon, Liam McAvoy, Connor Holliday, Lachlan Lanskey, Dion Aiye, Jamie Doran, James Newton, Lasarusa Tabu, Guy Graham, Perry Singleton, Jake Bradley, Marcus O’Brien, Lucas Castle, Josh Rourke, Daniel Spencer-Tonks, Ross Ainley.

The Broncos, who have already won at the LEL Arena in a Championship game by 20-18, have named 21 for the Cup-tie.

Their squad is: Wellington Albert, Max Allen, Jarred Bassett, Lewis Bienek, Sam Davis, Sam Dore, Charlton Grant, Rian Horsman, Dan Hoyes, Bill Leyland, Oli Leyland, Will Lovell, Iliess Macani, Jenson Monk, Ethan Natoli, Dean Parata, Henry Raiwalui, Marcus Stock, Paul Ulberg, Alex Walker, Jordan Williams.
