Maryport’s youth festival was a huge success and is something the go-ahead club will be looking to repeat.
Seaton, Broughton Red Rose and Cockermouth sent teams to take part with the hosts at Under 6s, Under 7s, Under-8s and Under-9s.
One of the Maryport coaches, Simon Pattinson, said: “It was cold but the kids all enjoyed it and there was a fantastic response from parents, family and friends.
“It made it a great day for the club and we made sure there was plenty for them to enjoy while they spent time with us.
“We have Egremont bringing 6s, 7s and 8s next week so we are all looking forward to that.
“The festival at Maryport was topped off by our senior side going to Kells A and winning in their first competitive game of the season.”
