Over 100 homes and one school in the South Lakes are without electricity after a power cut.
Electricity North West said 115 customers in the area were affected.
Dallam School in Milnthorpe has closed for the day due to the power outage.
On social media, the school said: “Due to a power surge affecting the local area, regrettably the school will close for the duration of today as we have no guarantee of lighting, internet or power to the kitchen for lunches. You will be notified if the closure needs to be extended to tomorrow.”
The issue was reported at around 5.29am and the firm are aiming to restore power by 5pm.
