Barrow still have a chance of making the League Two play-offs despite only picking up a point from a goalless draw at Swindon Town.
It means that the Bluebirds are four points and two places of the play-offs with four games to go.
The south Cumbrians had the first real opportunity of the game after 20 minutes when Saidou Khan completely mishit a clearance which flew into shooting distance for Ben Whitfield.
He didn’t really connect with the volley although he met it well enough and home keeper Sol Brynn made a routine stop.
Jonny Williams looked to have got himself into a great position for the Robins when good footwork carried him deep into the Barrow area but all he could manage was a corner after delaying his shot too long.
Veteran striker Charlie Austin was closest to breaking the deadlock after curling a smart effort towards the top corner but it just floated past the far upright.
Then late on Barrow almost stole the points when substitute Sam Foley won a header at a corner and placed it beyond Brynn but Tom Clayton was back on the line to clear.
