The Royal Navy said it will launch an investigation after secret nuclear submarine documents were found in a Barrow pub’s toilets.
The files, marked official sensitive, and a lanyard were discovered in a cubicle of the Wetherspoon-owned pub, which is close to the town’s BAE Systems. HMS Anson was built at BAE.
It is understood that the documents were from a training manual and a Royal Navy spokesman told the Sun they were ‘generic’ but it did take all security matters extremely seriously and would launch an investigation.
