Workington Town coach Anthony Murray has included recent acquisitions Hanley Dawson and Connor Terrill in his squad for Sunday’s trip to Doncaster.
They replace Joe Kirkup, who has a calf strain, and Jake Bradley, who has been recalled from his loan by parent club Whitehaven.
Murray says that he knows both arrivals, having coached them in the past, and they have settled down really well in training.
“They are both good lads, they are Cumbrians and have fitted in perfectly. Hanley did really well when he was last at Town while I had Connor on loan at North Wales when he was good.
“It’s disappointing to lose Jake after just one game but that’s what can happen in loan deals. He only had the one game for us but came with the right attitude, trained well and fitted in great. We would certainly have him back if he became available again,” said Murray.
Town will be making their second visit of the season to Doncaster having just been beaten by a last minute try in a Challenge Cup tie in the first game.
“They aren’t second in the table without a reason. They are well organised, well coached and have game breakers all along the line. It’s going to be a tough test for us.
“But if we can do the simple things well, work as hard as we did last time and stay focused I am sure we can put up a good performance.
“We haven’t had a game for three weeks but clubs are in the same boat this season with a stop-start programme.
“It has given us an opportunity to put in some really good training sessions and we had something a bit different last Saturday when we took part in some team bonding at the local TA. That went very well,” said Murray.
