
Furness continued their strong start to the Cumbria League season with a comfortable Higson Cup win over Egremont.
After winning the toss Furness opted to bat and in their 45 overs reached 193-7.
Ryan Griffiths (51), Lewis Gribbin (50), Mark Daly (22) and Yash Dubey (20) were the main contributors.
Egremont professional Vathsal Govind took 3-36 from his nine overs and Coady Scott had 2-40 from his nine.
Egremont struggled in response and plunged to 13-4 before eventually being bowled-out for 84.
Wicket keeper Owen Thompson did his best to hold the Egremont innings together with 37, the only batsman to reach double figures.
All six Furness bowlers took at least one wicket with Josh Shaw (2-5), Harris Woods (2-8), Peter Lawson (2-15) and Faizan Ghumman (2-17) doing best.
The win earned Furness a trip to Lindal Moor in the quarter final.
