
Volunteers from Workington RNLI were called out to help a fishing boat in distress in the Irish Sea.
Workington’s all weather lifeboat was called at around 12.30pm today, Wednesday, May 24 to assist the 13m vessel, which was taking on water around six miles west of Kirkcudbright.
Kirkcudbright RNLI also responded and a wind farm vessel attended to support the operation.

The fishing boat, with one person on board, was towed by Workington RNLI into Maryport harbour and the boat returned to the station at 4.40pm.
