Grassroots sports clubs across Cumbria are being offered the chance to benefit from a share of a £30,000 investment, thanks to a new initiative for young people by full fibre broadband company Fibrus.
Fibrus has already helped dozens of clubs in Northern Ireland and is now looking to do the same in Cumbria, where it has started work on bringing fibre broadband to thousands of rural homes.
Clubs and organisations in the county that apply to the new Fibrus Play it Forward fund could gain up to £1,000 in direct investment for new kit and equipment, to improve their existing facilities, or towards training fees.
The Fibrus Play it Forward Fund will be made available in two tranches. The first round opened on May 30 and closes on June 27, with the second round opening in October.
Sports clubs across Cumbria can apply to the £30,000 fund via www.fibrus.com
