A £360,000 house could be yours in a new Cumbrian competition.

Millom-based Speed Competitions is behind the prize, which is its largest yet.

The home, at The Green, Millom, has its solicitors’ fees and stamp duty paid and the winner will also get £10,000 cash to help furnish the property.

The three-bedroom bungalow has been fully renovated, including a new kitchen, and also includes a garage and wrap-around gardens.

Tickets are £2 each as Jack Townend, who runs the firm, said he wanted to keep entries affordable.

The competition runs until October, but Speed Competitions said if it does not sell out by the date specified, the winner will receive 85 per cent of the value of the ticket sales sold, with a minimum amount of £50,000 guaranteed.

Jack said any profits made would be donated to the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Liverpool.

Jack, 29, who works at the Household Waste Recycling Centre in Millom, set up the firm in November 2022 and said over £750,000 had been won in Cumbria since then, plus £10,000 donated locally.

His sister Patrice Gleaves helps out with the draws.

He said: “I created the business because I’ve always been interested in owning my own business, and I always thought the concept was amazing, and the support has been unbelievable.”

Speed Competitions runs its draws via Facebook and also has a website.
