Mystery surrounds the temporary closure of Egremont’s Greggs store as its doors continue to remain shut.
A sign in the Main Street bakery’s window was first spotted on June 15 stating that it had closed for essential maintenance and would reopen soon.
It is believed the store had already been closed for a number of days when the sign was initially spotted and a further two weeks have now passed.
A spokesman for Greggs said: “Our Egremont shop is currently still closed, and we hope to reopen as soon as possible.”
Greggs are still yet to address the reason for the closure.
