Work to revamp Kendal Library is set to be completed next month.
It is hoped the redesigned library will improve the browsing experience through clearer signs, improved layout and dedicated seating areas.
There will also be activities available including Adult Learning classes, children’s activities and specialist drop-ins.
Building work started in January and is being carried out by Top Notch Contractors on behalf of Westmorland and Furness Council.
The community of Kendal shared their views on what they would like to see from the redesigned library and those views helped to inform the plans for the building.
The Kendal Library team is now in the process of organising a celebration event in September to showcase the changes with the community.
