Whitehaven won the Vigodny Cup for the first time with a comprehensive win against Haverigg.
The respective second teams met in the final which produced over 340 runs.
Whitehaven were invited to take first use of the wicket and at 50-3 it looked as though Haverigg’s decision might have been the right one.
But then a magnificent 86 from 14-year-old Kian Larmour and 85 from the experienced Jason Spiers saw them take the Whitehaven total to 224-8. Bradley Lumbey took 2-43.
Haverigg’s reply never got going as Haven skipper Dom Chambers took 2-1 from four overs.

Steve Chapman (36) and Anthony Johnson (40no) did their bit for Haverigg but they were always behind the asking rate and finished on 117-5. Spiers took 2-31.
Young Larmour was named as the Man of the Match for his outstanding innings.
