Carlisle had to settle for a point on their return to League One as they drew 1-1 at home to Fleetwood.
Both goals came in an even first half; Fleetwood looked the better side in the second period but Carlisle could have won it late on.
Owen Moxon is the Carlisle player attracting interest from Blackpool, and possibly has other admirers, and the reason why came in the 36th minute.
The former Annan Athletic midfielder curled home a lovely free-kick from 30 yards to set Carlisle on their way after he had been the player fouled.
Moxon had previously created Carlisle’s best chance before that with a well flighted free kick to find Paul Huntington’s head but Promise Omochere came to Fleetwood’s rescue with s timely clearance.
The equalising goal came four minutes into stoppage time when a first time effort from Brendan Wiredu, following s headed clearance by Huntington, beat Tomas Holy on its way into the bottom corner.
Fleetwood looked the sharper side in the second half and Omochere should have scored when presented with an opportunity from a half-cleared Josh Vela cross, but from a good position he pulled his effort wide.
Near the end former Fleetwood striker Joe Garner, on as a substitute, could have won it for the Blues but header was saved by keeper Jay Lynch.
