Although Barrow Raiders put up an improved second half display they were still beaten 26-6 by London Broncos.
They had been 20-0 down at half-time in this latest home Championship contest and the damage had been done.
They managed to share the second-half 6-6 but the Broncos had proved too powerful, both in attack and defence.
It had taken only three minutes for the Broncos to get on the scoreboard as Corey Norman found too much space in the Barrow defence and was able to touchdown, and also land the conversion.
It was an energetic and enthusiastic start by the Londoners and they scored again after eight minutes when they moved the ball wide for Dean Whare to go over in the corner. Norman landed a fine conversion.
Barrow just hadn’t been in the contest and any hint of a threatening attack from the Raiders was virtually snuffed out at source by a strong Broncos defence.
The third try came on 23 minutes when Lewis Bienek crashed over near the posts but surprisingly Norman was wide with the kick.
Eight minutes before half-time Barrow were out-muscled again as this time it was Dalton Grant who was strong enough to get over in the corner.
It left Paul CVrarey’s men with a mountain to climb in the second-half but at least they shared the points in the remaining 40 minutes.
There was the hint of a fight-back on 53 minutes when Rio Corkill pounced on an Adam Jackson kick to claim the try and Ryan Shaw added the extras.
But that was it as far as the Raiders were concerned and London scored their fifth try after 61 minutes. Quick hands outwitted the Barrow defence and Whare went over for his second try which Norman converted.
