Velo Club Cumbria returned to time trial action with experienced Cockermouth-based veteran Allistair Moffatt dominating the Embleton 10-miler.
The 40-year-old Moffatt set a blistering pace, completing the course, which runs from Dubwath to Cockermouth and back on the A66 alongside Embleton, in a very fast time of 20 minutes and 49 seconds at an average speed of 28.8mph.
Moffatt finished 39 seconds clear of Dean Newton, who himself was 24 seconds clear of third placed man Richard Shield.
Shield narrowly pipped Bryan Pool into third place by three seconds while the first female was Rachael Maxwell in 26.08, four seconds clear of Rachel Jeff.
