A popular corporate activity challenge is returning to Lowther Castle and Gardens after a COVID-enforced absence.

The Lake District Calvert Trust’s Get Lost at Lowther Corporate Activity Challenge will take place on September 14.

“Our Get Lost at Lowther Corporate Activity Challenge is an event with a difference,” said Yvonne Booth, fundraising officer at the Lake District Calvert Trust.

“Think Treasure Hunt meets Taskmaster as you walk or run your way around Lowther Castle and Gardens whilst thinking smart and scoring maximum points in two hours of fun! This brilliant venue has dramatic ruins, gardens within gardens and an adventure playground to rival the best in the land.”

The challenge involves teams of five participants working to complete a series of physical and thought-provoking challenges in competition with other teams to see who can complete them in the fastest possible time.

Yvonne added: “This is corporate networking ‘with a difference’ allowing you and your team to engage with business contacts in a challenging but fun event while raising awareness of, and funds for, the Lake District Calvert Trust.”

The Lake District Calvert Trust’s official charity partner for 2023, Edwin Thompson, has already signed up for the challenge.

Joanna Brand, sales negotiator at Edwin Thompson’s Keswick office said: “We have two teams of five taking part in Get Lost at Lowther, a mix of guys and girls.

“Not only do we expect this to be a fun challenge but we also hope to continue to raise funds and hit our monetary goal for the fabulous Calvert Trust. The work that is done by the amazing people who work there is life changing for so many people with disabilities.”

Teams are asked to arrive at 4.30pm on Thursday September 14 when they will receive a briefing from Joe Faulkner, founder of NAV4 Adventure.

The challenge will start at 5pm. The entry fee for a team of five is £200 and advance registration is available at https://calvertlakes.org.uk/events/get-lost-at-lowther/
