Jack Stephenson has committed himself for the next two years to Workington Town after completing his first season at the club.

Hailing from Ulverston, the 23 -year-old Stephenson spent 12 months in the St Helens’ youth section and played for the England Lions’ Under-20s last year when with the Dalton club.

Town coach Anthony Murray expects to be able to confirm a number of re-signings and recruitments over the next few weeks.

“Now our season is over we will continue the conversations we have had with players and expect to see some developments over the weeks ahead,” he said.

Dave Ecclestone has been confirmed as joining Haven from neighbours Whitehaven having played previously under Murray at North Wales.
