
Distington took another step towards the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland ARL title when they beat Glasson Rangers 50-8.
The champions were well on the way to victory at half-time when they held a 30-4 advantage.
The home side finished with nine tries, seven of which were converted by Stephen Clarke.
Gavin Martin led the way with four tries while following him over were Bryan Ritchie (2), Jack Penrice (2) and Jamie Friel.
Glasson scored an unconverted try in each half with Peter Fearon and Luke Johnson crossing the Distington line.
The only other game was a lot closer, and only a try in the end separated the respective A teams of Hensingham and Ellenborough.
Home side Hensingham A finished 20-16 winners after they had led 16-12 at half-time. Each side could only add an unconverted try in the second-half.
Crossing for Hensingham were Callum Morgan (2), Travis Fyfe and Henley Donnan with two conversions from Jack Kelly.
Ellenborough were always right in it and their tries came from Aaron Lawson, Zac Olstrum and Aiden Day. There were two conversions from Rocco Okesene.
Maryport should have played Cockermouth but the Titans had no team so the game was awarded to Maryport by a 24 – 0 scoreline.
