Boney M. Picture: Whitehaven Alive

Whitehaven Alive rocked the town for three days as it brought music, food and a festival vibe.

The unseasonably warm weather brought people out in their thousands to Whitehaven harbourside and the the event has been the biggest the town has seen for recent years.

From Sophie Ellis Bextor to Boney M and Bjorn Again, organisers made sure there was something for everyone at the event, which also included 70 stalls, street entertainment, acoustic acts and the Red Arrows.

You can see photos from the event here.

A sudden downpour of rain at around 3.25pm sent people scattering – but it will take more than a warning for thunderstorms to put these festivalgoers off enjoying themselves.
