Workington Comets have announced the new date for the restaging of the National Development League Riders Championship.
It will be held at Northside on Sunday, October 15 with a 2pm start.
The original staging of the meeting should have been on Sunday, September 24, but it was postponed early because of a very poor weather forecast which had been predicted.
The forecast proved accurate and the right decision was made to call it off as early as possible to minimise the impact on the traveling riders and fans.
This meeting is sure to be a hotly contested event with the best riders in the league facing off head-to-head over 20 heats to be crowned 2023 National Development League Riders Champion, won last year by Oxford rider, Jordan Jenkins.
Workington’s own number one Connor Bailey would have missed that original staging because of commitments in Poland but he will be there to spearhead the Comets challenge.
A new line-up for the event will be announced in due course.
