Paul Taylor

A man last seen nine days ago and whose car was abandoned in Cumbria has not been found.

Police are renewing their appeal for Paul Taylor today, on his birthday.

Paul, now 57, has not been seen since October 17 after leaving his home address in Annan, Scotland at some time after 9.45pm.

He is described as white and around 5ft 7in. He has greying hair and wears glasses.

It is believed he may have travelled from Scotland to the Carlisle area, and his car, a blue Vauxhall Corsa, registration PY18 DYO, was later found abandoned in Langwathby, near Penrith, at around 8.30am on October 19.

Officers are appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the vehicle either in Carlisle area or Langwathby between 9.45pm on Tuesday October 17 and Thursday October 19 at 3pm.

A police spokesman said: “We are continuing to ask people to contact us with any information, no matter how small or insignificant that information may seem.”

Anyone who has seen Paul or has any information that could assist in establishing his whereabouts should contact Cumbria police online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit or call 101.

Alternatively, submit information by completing an online form: https://mipp.police.uk/operation/0301020119S66-PO1

Officers would also like to urge Paul to contact this number if he sees this appeal.
