Tom Kilifin, who was the North West Counties League’s top scorer last season for Kendal Town, is on the move again.

Kilifin left the Mintcakes in the summer to join Bury but he has had limited opportunities at Gigg Lane and has re-signed for one of his old clubs – Lancaster City.

He has returned to the Giant Axe following his departure from Bury with plenty of experience for the Dolly Blues – 75 goals in 250 appearances.

His last spell at the Giant Axe came in the 2021/22 season, scoring four goals including the winners in a 3-2 success against Ashton United, and 1-0 victories against 1874 Northwich in the Emirates FA Cup and away at Hyde United.

Following from his last spell, he joined Kendal Town where he scored 33 goals in 44 games for the Mintcakes and was the top scorer in the NWC Premier Division

Lancaster boss Mark Fell said on signing the striker once again: “Tom knows the league, knows the club, is full of confidence following a really successful season last season.

“Ultimately, Tom knows where the net is and for us that’s what we need. He’ll be a great addition to the dressing room and is as keen as we are to get the club right up towards the top of the Division.”

Lancaster play in the NPL Premier Division, along with Workington another of Kilifin’s former clubs.
