Former Workington Comets rider Charles Wright is to continue with Redcar Bears for 2024.
The Bears skipper signed a two-year deal ahead of the 2023 season, along with talented youngster Jason Edwards.
Wright, who has been with the club at Championship level since 2019, saw his racing this year ended by serious injury after a crash in Poland in September, but is confident of being ready for 2024.
Although largely a reserve with Workington in the early days of his career he was always in the shadow of elder brother James.
But he has blossomed in recent years with strong links to Belle Vue and Redcar. He was the British Riders champion in 2019 and last season won the Championship Riders championship.
Young Edwards, 21, will be moving into his third season with the Teesside outfit.
