A security exercise will take place at BAE Systems in Barrow this weekend.
People are urged not to be alarmed by the exercise, which will take place between 8am and 11.30am on Saturday, November 25.
It is being carried out by the Ministry of Defence Police, Securitas and BAE Systems.
The exercise will be fully contained within the site boundary, at the Devonshire Dock Complex, so there should be no interruption to the wider community, BAE Systems said.
During the exercise, firearms with blank ammunition will be used, so some noise may be heard in the immediate vicinity.
BAE Systems said there was no need to take any action. There will also be a police presence in the area to help with the exercise.
