Kendal Town striker Matt Dudley has won the Player of the Month award for February in the North West Counties Premier Division.
Recently signed by the Mintcakes, he had a great February for Jimmy Marshall’s men, scoring seven goals across the month which included a hat-trick in their 0-5 away win at Longridge Town.
When it came to the submission from the club and the review panels decision, Matthew was a stand-out candidate and confirmed as the winner at the League Management Committee meeting.
Dudley came through the youth academy of Preston North End and after leaving Preston he spent time in America where he played for Oakland University.
Back in the UK he has played for Bamber Bridge, Kendal and Northwich Victoria before joining Ramsbottom in the summer.
He actually scored both Ramsbottom’s goals in a 2-1 win at Kendal early in the season and rejoined the Parkside Road club in mid-January.
Manager Jimmy Marshall said: “He’s technically superb and is also a great lad off the field, so we know he would fit straight in with our current group of players and he’s scored the goals we expected.”
