
In a thrilling West Cumbria Midweek League game Workington TLM scored a last ball win over Workington CC last night.
Set 119 to win TLM reached their target with one ball and six wickets to spare in a game which could have gone either way.
The club side won the toss and elected to bat first with opener Ben Scott hitting a quick-fire 32 retired, made-up of six fours and a six.
Matt Lanaghan made 21 and Robson Scott chipped in with 19 on the way to 118 all out in 18.4 overs. Andrew Hamilton took 4-19 for TLM.
Helped by 20 extras, TLM were led home by Nigel Clubley (31ret) with good support from James Evans and Matthew McClure, who both made 19.
Ben Scott took 2-2 and James Long had 2-17 for the club side.
