A section of the A595 will close overnight for a month for roadworks.
Improvements will be carried out from New Mill to Gosforth crossroads to improve the carriageway from tomorrow, Tuesday May 28, until Friday June 28.
Work will take place between 7pm and 5am, Mondays to Saturdays.
Two-way traffic lights will be in operation for the first week of the scheme and during each day for full period.
From 7pm and 10pm, vehicles will be able to travel through the site with escort assistance but delays of up to 30 minutes may occur, drivers are warned.
From 10pm to 5am the entire site will be closed with no access for the public.
Access for emergency vehicles, under blue lights, will be maintained.
A signed diversion route is available.
The work is being paid for as part of £14.3 million from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund and will be carried out by DSD Construction.
