Hensingham produced a superb performance to reach the final of the BARLA National Cup for Under-18s.
The West Cumbrians travelled to the Yorkshire League leaders Oulton Rangers in the semi-final and came away with an 18-6 victory.
Oulton had been unbeaten in their domestic competition and in the BARLA National Cup, so this was quite a performance from Hensingham.
They knew from the start it was going to be a tough, physical game and they manned up accordingly.
They had to play uphill in the first half and under a lot of pressure defended superbly, while scoring a very good try.
After the change round, Hensingham dominated and never really let Oulton out of their own half. Importantly they took their chances when they appeared.
Miller Dalton (2) and Luca Middleton were the try scorers with Dylan Bragg kicking three goals.

Overall it was a really good win against a top side and Hensingham deserved it for all the hard work they put in.
The final will be played on June 30 at Featherstone Rovers’ ground when they will be up against Birkenshaw Bluedogs who edged-out Ashton Bears 14-12 in the other semi-final.
It will be 32 years since Hensingham last won the Under-19s National Cup so this group now has an opportunity to achieve something as special as that group of club players.
Prior to the game, on the Thursday night, the Hensingham squad trained with Whitehaven, and have subsequently sent a big thank you to the Haven coach Jonty Gorley.
