The draw for the Cumbria Cup took place last night and produced some interesting confrontations in what essentially is the quarter final.
Holders Penrith, who beat Carlisle in last season’s final, have been drawn away to Keswick.
Runners-up Carlisle, who won promotion from the Counties 1 Cumbria last season, have a home tie against Upper Eden, who were beaten by Penrith in the previous County final.
Kendal, the highest ranked side in the competition after finishing ahead of Penrith in last season’s Regional 1 North West, have a home tie at Mint Bridge against Aspatria.
The fourth tie will see Kirkby Lonsdale host a Cockermouth side, hoping to re-set and push forward again after being relegated back to Counties 1 Cumbria.
These games will be played on or by October 5.
