Following the successful launch of Kendal Farmers Market’s first-ever Food School last month, the next line-ups have been revealed.

The all-new monthly initiative has been designed to bring together producers, food enthusiasts, and curious visitors on the second Friday of each month.

During each of the sessions, market goers will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare fresh, local ingredients as producers and stallholders from the market take to the stage and share insider tips and skills.

Each session is about building relationships and connections. Visitors meet the faces behind the produce they buy and producers have the opportunity to share some of their knowledge and insight along the way, as well as take the time to celebrate what they do day in and day out.

August 9

  • 11am – Blackhorse Farm Flowers
  • Noon – Kitridding Farm Shop
  • 1pm – Thornby Moor Dairy

September 13

  • 11am – Ginger Bakers
  • Noon – Provino Italian Wines
  • 1pm – Deer & Dexter

October 11

  • 11am – Pennington’s Spirits
  • Noon – Sweet Treats by Martin Frickel
  • 1pm – Torpenhow Organic Cheese

Catherine Connor, chair of Kendal Farmers Market, saidd: “Our first Food School was a huge success, straight after the last session we had people wanting to know about our next set of producer talks.

“So, without wasting any time, we’ve put together an interesting and varied programme which features a whole host of fabulous artisan makers and producers. So now you’ve got the dates and the line up there’s no excuse not to pop along and join us at Kendal Farmers Market Food School and discover why every bite has an amazing  story behind it.’’
