Penrith got back to winning ways with a 3-1 home win over bottom-of-the-table Tow Law Town.
All three goals came in the second-half after the Bonnyblues had found themselves a goal down at the break.
Only an inspired performance, though, from the Tow Law keeper James Rutherford had denied Penrith in the first half as he made a series of outstanding saves.
It was against the run of play when Ben Dibb-Fuller nipped in to give the visitors the lead after 24 minutes.
Penrith scored their equaliser on 61 minutes when Connor Hammill sent Luke Hunter through and although Rutherford made another good stop at his feet the ball flew loose to Connor Shields who drove home from 25 yards.
Rutherford then produced two more fine saves to deny Hunter and then Robbie Hebson on 66 minutes but again the ball broke loose and Shields again hammered the loose ball into the net.
There wasn’t much doubt about the man of the match as Rutherford denied Hammell and Hunter but near the end of ten added minutes there was nothing he could do when Hunter had a simple tap in for the third goal.
After four games Penrith lie an encouraging fourth in the table three points behind tyitle favourites Redcar Athletic who share the lead with Boro Rangers.
There’s a big game in prospect on Tuesday night when Penrith entertain Newcastle Benfield who are two points behind in fifth place.
