A dog had to be stretchered off a Lake District fell after losing the use of her back legs.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team was called out at around 2.45pm yesterday, Tuesday October 15, to Walla Crag.
A couple walking on Walla Crag reported that their usually energetic and bouncy Alaskan Malamute had lost the use of her back legs.
Being a large dog, the owners were unable to carry her down to their vehicle so called for help.
The Keswick team stretchered the dog down to a team vehicle and took it to a local vet for tests and further treatment.
