Game day for both Marras & Arras teams in the Cumbria Men’s Darts Super league saw them have mixed results.
Craig Devine, Jack Pollard and Neil Templeton were fielded for the A team who secured a 5-4 away victory over the Nomads of Brampton.
Nathen Lowrey, Simon McCall and Robert Atkinson started for the B team who despite some close games were defeated 6-3 at home to Thirst In Passed Out of Kirkby Stephen.
Thursday night was the seventh instalment of the Speed Competitions Ranking Series with a full house of 40 entries yet again.
The open saw Nathen Lowrey claim his first title of the series with a 3-1 victory over Jack Pollard in the final.
Despite defeat in the final Jack moves level on points with league leader Jimmy Clucas who is now only top on leg difference. The chasing pack will need a good run and a healthy dollop of luck in the final week as there is a five- point gap between the leading two and third place.
