Barrow have been linked with a hot teenage prospect at Premier League side Everton.
Manager Stephen Clemence would like to take 17-year-old Harrison Armstrong on loan in the January transfer window.
Armstrong is highly rated at Goodison and has already made his senior debut in the top flight from the bench against Spurs earlier in the season.
Clemence would like to boost his squad over the second-half of the season and is reported to be already in touch with Everton about a possible loan deal.
After a bright start to the campaign, in which they briefly led League Tow, the Bluebirds have slipped to ninth and Clemence wants to freshen up his squad for a positive finish over the second half of the season.
Midfielder Armstrong has been with Everton since he was five and has been capped once by England Under-18s.
