Cleator Moor Celtic staged a remarkable late rally to record a morale-boosting win in the West Lancashire League.
With five minutes left they trailed fifth-in-the-table Blackpool Wren Rovers 3-2, but a Luke Close hat-trick before the end of added time earned them a 5-3 victory.
That win lifted Celtic to 12th in a 15-strong League and represented their fourth three-pointer of the season.
The visitors had looked to be heading for the win when they went 2-0 ahead by half-time through goals from Harvey Walford (15) and Luke Harris (17).

Although Sean O’Neil pulled one back three minutes into the second-half, Rovers regained their two goal advantage when Harris notched his second on 54 minutes.
Brad Rooney reduced the arrears again for Celtic on 58 minutes and it stayed that way until the frantic finale.

Close’s equaliser went straight in from a corner on 85 minutes and he put his side ahead three minutes later.
Icing on the cake was his hat-trick in the fifth minute of added time and the final whistle sparked huge Celtic celebrations.
