Plans have been lodged for a new business offering deep tissue massage in Whitehaven.
A North East man has applied to change the use of 17 King Street into what the application has called a massage parlour, with three treatment rooms, reception area, staff toilet and kitchen.
The application said: “The new massage parlour will offer deep tissue massages and therapeutic treatments, provided by diploma qualified massage practitioners.
“The existing shopfront will remain in keeping with the surrounding streetscape.
“The proposal will revitalise an existing vacant building with a new lease of life, providing additional amenities in keeping with the developing local area.
“The new development will also offer new job opportunities to the local community.”
The planning application is currently under consultation.
