Maryport Rescue has been given permission to open a shop to help it raise funds.
The volunteer independent flood, swift water, search and rescue service, based at Maryport Harbour, will install a portable building at its site on Marine Road.
Its online git shop sells Maryport Rescue branded clothes, teddy bears, hats, baby comforters, bibs, bags for life, mugs, fridge magnets, badges, keyrings and pens, among other items.
A previous application was refused as council officers felt it would impact on the landscape of the area, but the changes to the current application addressed those concerns.
Funded solely by donations, Maryport Rescue has a crew of over 35 volunteers and was set up in 1978.
