A flood alert has been issued for rivers in West Cumbria tonight.
The alert has been issued for the rivers Ehen, Calder, Irt and Esk.
Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible this evening, Monday April 14, and overnight tonight due to the heavy isolated rainfall during the course of today.
Areas most at risk include Rivers Ehen, Calder, Irt and Esk and other watercourses, from Harrington to Annaside including low lying areas around Whitehaven, Cleator Moor, Egremont, Gosforth, Eskdale and Bootle.
