
Police are continuing to appeal for information after a man was alleged to have a weapon on the streets of Workington over the weekend.
Armed police were deployed in the town on Saturday to search for the man.
Cumbria police said they had received had information from a member of the public who believed a man may be carrying a weapon in the area of Senhouse Street.

Extensive searches were carried out, including police knocking on doors in a bid to identify the man.
Cumbria police said: “Area searches and other enquiries have been carried out, however we have not located or identified the man reported to be involved.”
