Milk vending machine launches at West Cumbrian Spar

A West Cumbrian Spar is the third in the county to have a milk vending machine.

Spar Maryport has opened the Ann Forshaw’s Milk Shed on the forecourt of Solway Garage on Curzon Street, serving whole milk and flavoured milkshakes 24 hours a day.

It is the sixth shed the firm has opened in the North of England.

Fiona Drummond, company stores director at James Hall & Co Ltd, owner of Spar Maryport, said: “We are really building the Ann Forshaw’s Milk Shed brand across Cumbria and we are delighted to launch the concept at Maryport after our Spar Derwent store in Keswick in February and Spar Milnthorpe last year.

“We have high hopes that the fresh milk and milkshakes will be lapped up by our customers in Maryport.”

Ann Forshaw’s and its associated Alston Dairy was acquired by the James Hall group of companies in December 2022.
