Youngsters can experience the magic of Bollywood at music workshops this summer.
International music-makers the Bollywood Brass Band will lead the workshops for eight to 14 year-olds next month.
Young people can try new instruments and join together to make music. No experience is necessary – though if a youngster already plays an instrument, they’re encouraged to bring it along.
The young people will get to play drums of different sizes, and other percussion, as well as having a go at keyboards.
The two-day workshops run from August 15 to August 22 in four venues across the county.
The two-day workshops are led by professional musicians from the Bollywood Brass Band, who’ve played at many festivals in the UK and internationally.
They will introduce the music from India and help the young people develop storylines to frame their musical creations.
Participants should be available for both of the two days at their chosen location, and there will be a mini performance for family and friends at the end of each two-day workshop.
