The winners of the Great Taste Awards have been revealed for 2025.
Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, this year saw a record number of entries to the Great Taste Awards, with 14,340 products being submitted from 110 countries.
Set up 30 years ago, Great Taste is recognised as the most influential food and drink accreditation scheme in the world.
A judging panel of over 500 industry experts, including chefs, critics, food technologists, retailers, food writers and other specialists, pored over every single product for over 110 days.
Every entry is judged on its own merit as a standalone product and tasted completely blind. Judges consider flavour first and foremost, followed by appearance, aroma, texture, and mouthfeel, before it is determined whether the product warrants one of the famous black and gold seals of approval.
In total, 5,680 entries received an accolade. There were 3,899 one-star awards, 1,508 two-star awards, and only 273 products received the coveted Great Taste 2025 three-star award.
Lovingly Artisan Bakery, which operates in Kendal, was awarded one two-star award and three one-star awards.
Co-owners Aidan Monks and Catherine Connor said: ”It’s a tremendous honour to receive four Great Taste Awards, especially earning a two-star award for our unique and innovative Dark Chocolate & Mediterranean Orange Loaf.
“At Lovingly Artisan, we work collaboratively as a team, constantly sharing and evolving ideas not just to innovate, but to ensure we continue delivering high-quality, expertly crafted breads to every one of our customers.
“We’re incredibly proud to be a family business, built on the dedication, talent, and passion of our entire team. This recognition reflects their tireless efforts, early starts, and late nights.
“We’re truly grateful for everything they do, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every member of the Lovingly Artisan family for once again going above and beyond.”
