
Police said they have been carrying out high visibility patrols after reports of youths breaking into allotments in a West Cumbrian town.
Allerdale police said they had received reports that youngsters had broken in, caused damage to property and released animals from their enclosures in Workington.
Police said a PSCO has been patrolling the areas around Douglas Road allotments and will continue to patrol these areas while they investigate the incidents.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 and people are reminded not leave anything of value in allotments while unattended.
