Following the sell-out success of its first-ever ice rink, a Lake District hotel has announced it will return later this year.
Another Place, The Lake created the rink on the shores of Ullswater last year and thousands of people took to the ice.
The hotel has revealed the lakeshore rink will return from November 17 until January 10.
It said it was the highlight of Another Place’s festive celebrations, the 200sq m ice rink, which launched last December with a memorable performance from British Olympic figure skaters David and Stacey King.
Over 8,500 people take to the ice, set against the backdrop of Ullswater and the surrounding fells.
It will return this winter with a bigger, glass-panelled marquee for even better views of the lake, in partnership with Land Rover Discovery.

David Vaughan, Another Place hotels director: “We were really pleased at how well the ice rink went down with everyone last year, so are excited to be bringing it back for a second season – thanks to the ongoing support from our friends at Land Rover Discovery.
“To be able to skate with family and friends in the open air against the backdrop of Ullswater is such a unique and memorable experience.”
