A West Cumbrian village road was closed following a suspected water leak.
Main Street in Distington, between Workington and Whitehaven, was closed to traffic yesterday, Sunday August 31 while engineers fixed the issue.
People in the area were reporting no water or poor pressure.
United Utilities said: ” We’ve found the cause of no water or low pressure to be be a burst pipe on Main Street.
“Now that we’ve identified the cause of the problem, our team will assess the issue and start the repair work shortly. Thank you for your patience.”
Water was reinstated yesterday afternoon.
